The whole area is a good ol' boy system, that will attempt to weed out any child who isn't the "right type". You would do well to save your children the pyschological trauma.
If you have the ability to take your child elsewhere please do.

Teachers who bully, abuse, and take advantage of students are the norm. Please believe the recent illegal charges of student abuse is not new - someone finally just got caught as the whisperings have been happening for years. It is indicative of a perverse culture that these teachers institutionalize - most who did not come from this area, or any rurual environment. In addition, the (married) teachers have been..getting close..with one another for years. This is obvious in the one time principle of the school - now on the school board - who is married to his one time middle school principle (she didn't get to keep the kid...) The current principle became VP with NO MASTERS DEGREE and NO QUALIFICATIONS. How's that even possible?
Great small school.
The one good point is that the student base sticks together, much like soldiers in war.
